Electrolysis Technology

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method that uses an electric current to destroy the hair follicle. Here’s how the technology works in hair removal
  • Insertion of a Fine Probe: A very fine, sterile probe is inserted into the hair follicle. The probe is extremely thin, like a hair strand, and is carefully inserted into the natural opening of the follicle.
  • Application of Electric Current: Once the probe is in place, a small amount of electrical current is delivered to the follicle. There are three types of electrolysis:
    • Galvanic Electrolysis: Uses direct current (DC) to create a chemical reaction that destroys the hair follicle.
    • Thermolysis: Uses alternating current (AC) to generate heat, which destroys the follicle.
    • Blend Electrolysis: Combines both galvanic and thermolysis methods for a dual effect.
  • Destruction of the Hair Follicle: The electric current destroys the hair follicle’s ability to produce hair by damaging the cells responsible for hair growth. Once the follicle is destroyed, hair can no longer grow from that location.
  • Hair Removal: After the follicle is treated, the hair is either shed naturally or removed by the practitioner using tweezers.
Electrolysis can be used on almost any part of the body and is effective for all hair types and skin tones. Unlike laser hair removal, which works best on dark hair and light skin, electrolysis can be performed on any combination of skin and hair colors.

The Benefits of Electrolysis Hair Removal Treatment

Why Electrolysis Is the Best Choice for Permanent Hair Removal

If you’ve been searching for a hair removal solution that offers permanent results, electrolysis is the answer. It’s the only hair removal method that has been approved by the FDA for permanent hair reduction and works on all skin types and hair textures. Here are some of the key benefits:

Permanent Results

Unlike laser hair removal or waxing, electrolysis targets and destroys the hair follicle at its root. Once the follicle is destroyed, it will not produce any new hair, providing a permanent solution to unwanted hair growth.

Effective on All Hair and Skin Types

Whether you have light or dark skin, fine or coarse hair, electrolysis is effective across all skin tones and hair textures. It’s particularly beneficial for individuals who may not be suitable candidates for laser hair removal, which is less effective on light hair.

Safe and Gentle

Electrolysis is a safe procedure that has been used for over 100 years. It is gentle on the skin and does not cause any long-term side effects such as scarring or pigmentation issues. While some clients may experience slight redness or swelling immediately after treatment, these symptoms are temporary and subside quickly

No More Maintenance

Once your electrolysis treatment is complete, you’ll never have to worry about shaving, waxing, or using hair removal creams again. You can enjoy smooth, hair-free skin without the need for frequent upkeep.

Precision Hair Removal

Electrolysis allows for precise targeting of individual hair follicles, making it the ideal solution for removing hair from sensitive areas such as the eyebrows, upper lip, or bikini line.
